How much room is there between the two pillars and the cliff face? How many can safely be protected from arrow fire by them?

There is about 1 and a half feet between the pillar and a 200 foot drop. To get into the spot, you duck under/step over a pair of ropes. By moving top speed as soon as you get near the end of the bridge, the first 3 people can get as far as the pillars during this round's movement. The 4th person and after won't be able to get off the bridge this round [Tagor, Reeks, Brooner.]

Reeks, with the lantern, and Brooner were covering you with their new goblin bows as you went across.

We can probably assume Jaral is going to do the same thing Caby did - hide behind a pillar and shoot from cover.

I'll say Tagor, who can't make it off the bridge yet, will crouch down below the floor level of the opening.

Ducats, there is (barely) enough room behind one of the halflings to get behind a pillar, mostly because the majority of their body is in line with your legs.

Caby fired an arrow, and it's missile fire for the whole party now, if you're firing.

Reeks and Brooner both send missiles over into the gaping dark, however Reeks' missile is a pint of oil with a flaming rag in it, which he has been preparing for the last 3 rounds.

The flask with a flaming rag in it whooshes past into the darkness..

The flask shatters and blooms into flames as the oil splashes, utterly missing any of the goblins. It lands 8 feet directly in front of the capering fiends, lighting them up smashingly!

The patch of oily fire is an area about 5 feet across, thus putting the back edge of oil about a yard from the monsters, and the bluish-orange flames lick up no more then a foot high.

There are 5 of them, and they are about 20 feet back from the pillars. The chamber is dirt-walled, wood-beam-reinforced, and stone-floored. It is roughly 30 feet wide.

Everyone missed, yes. I can roll a sling stone for our crouching father, and that will end missiles, and the round as well.
