So far, this timeline is still incomplete. Post below to suggest the addition of any details you can remember.

21 July - Hannibal, Boniface, Sir Damien and Joan, one of the barmaids from the Post & Lantern tavern, escape the siege of the city of Norwich, heading west into the foothills of the Axehead Mountains. They soon meet Tom, who escaped the siege previously.

Many members of the Cannibals meet for the first time near the lair of a cockatrice.

The party has grown, and now discovers a great Lost Valley in the mountains. The Host of Billaro is camped below, just outside the fabled Caverns of Ephezius. Beleg and Oin are among the many retainers.

Robin is found preserved in a great jar inside the caverns. Logan appears as part of a trap, and is charmed by Billaro.

After defeating an enormous bronze statue of a six-armed woman, the party passes through the portal she guarded, finding themselves in empty hills in the world of Klah. They meet Jack soon afterward.

The party meets, and nearly attacks and kills, The Faithful of Anaekrios. The Faithful ambushed and killed a peasant mob intent on killing the party with pitchforks and torches.

The party defeats a hydra in the marshland cemetery outside the village of Blackmoor.

Entry is gained to the Mausoleum of Anaekrios, The Leper Messiah. The true nature of his prophecies is revealed as he attempts to drain the life essence of The Faithful to complete his return from ages long death. He is destroyed by the party, and The Faithful renounce their religion, becoming The Unfaithful.

The Cannibals book passage on a sailing ship, The Ancient Mariner, bound for Nem across the sea to the north, the Sea of Madness. A great storm wrecks the ship, and the party finds itself stranded on the island of The Village.

Finally contriving an escape from The Village, the Cannibals wash up on the hard shingle of beach at Nem. Nem is a small town situated in a great crack of the northern cliffwall which bounds the Sea of Madness. The cliffwall is so high that none in the party has yet been able to see the top. The town climbs very steeply in a northward pointing 'V' until an ancient and treacherous path winds up through a deep and narrow cleft into the cold wastes.

The Cannibals discover the room in the inn where Anaekrios stayed in Nem, ages ago, uncovering some of his writings and musings, as well as discovering that the walls of his room were filled with the skeletons of children.

For more information the party is directed to seek their answers from Zola, and are pointed to the towering spire of woods-topped black rock a short distance out to sea.

The party was entertained and hosteled in the mansion of Vladimir Zola, finding, with his aid, several clues in his extensive library. After discovering Zola to be a vampire, the Cannibals defeated him during an epic confrontation. The party enters the interior of the rock from a deep sea entrance. Exploring the interior of the great rock, The Nautilus by name, they discovered a shrine near its base guarded by Sargonauts, watery, tentacled undead warriors. Continuing upward, they discovered Zola's sanctum and coffin, thereafter destroying him permanently.

After destroying the vampire, Zola, part of the group used teleportation to return to the small town called Blackmoor. The remainder of the the group stayed behind in Zola's mansion, atop the towering column of black rock known as 'The Nautilus.' The Nautilus is just 2-3 hundred yards offshore from the village of Nem, and is itself large enough that the mansion on top sits hidden amid a small copse of gnarled and sea-blown trees.

Blackmoor was the site of the cemetery where the party had originally defeated Anaekrios as he rose from the dead and attempted to consume the life force of his followers to regain his full power. They now returned to find a crown hidden in catacombs beneath Anaekrios' mausoleum, accessed via a secret door in the bottom of his sarcophagus. Upon finding the crown, Jeraco immediately placed it on his head and was sucked through a swirling blue vortex which appeared in the wall of the catacombs. The rest of the party present jumped in afterward, and was whisked away through the elemental plane of water to the world of Earthsea.

Almost immediately upon finding themselves deep underwater in the oceans of Earthsea, the Cannibals are confronted by a truly cyclopean shark. After attempting to fight it, Tom is able to charm it. There is more than enough room on its back for the whole group to ride along comfortably.

The group finds and speaks with undersea dwellers, trying to discover Jeraco's whereabouts. They are directed toward an island. An ancient horn is found on the island, and upon blowing it the island was revealed to be a gargantuan turtle. The turtle island followed the basic commands of the one who possessed the horn.

Traveling, the Cannibals find raft-dwelling nomad clans in the Southern Reaches, and become embroiled in a war between the Albatross and Shark clans. The party helps the Albatross clan defeat some Shark clan rafts, and is told there is a trail of destroyed Albatross rafts. The party suspects Jeraco is helping the Shark clan. They find a Shark raft and torture an elder, discovering Jeraco's location on Far Sorr island.

Arrive on Far Sorr island, town of Beachhead. Hiked to wizard's shack on the beach. Tom charms a tiger, then flew to the opposite [North] side of the island, to a town named Gola. There is a party where Angus nearly dies of alcohol poisoning, and a ship is burned. The party books passage on The Maiden to try to travel to an island named Leng to find Jeraco. After a confusing meeting with the first mate of the Sea Sprite, another ship, some of the Cannibals sneak out to the Sea Sprite and steal a few maps. Edrick trails the first mate.

The party books extra passengers for The Maiden to come up with enough gold to convince the captain to leave early, and follow the Sea Sprite, which left suddenly during the night. During a banquet in the evening The Goat washes up on shore in a glass sphere. He wakes and is fine after Boniface breaks the globe. The Maiden then sets sail at night, heading into open sea and toward Leng.

The Maiden passes nearby Lorbanery island, but doesn't make port. A small dragon is found, and several members of the group speak with it underwater. Hannibal summons a storm to move the ship along. After many days of sailing, the ship reaches the major island of Wathort, makes port to let off several passengers, and then sets sail again. The Maiden then arrives at Thwil on Roke Island, and members of the group make their way to the wizards' school on the trail of Jeraco.

Members of the party track Jeraco across the island to the Immanent Grove, and fight the Shadow Captain. Jeraco is taken back to the Wizards' School and is cured, while others take the shadow to the Isolate Tower. They find the Book of Names open to Taliesin. From the Master Namer, Jack discovers the name of the High Priestess of this world's incarnation of Octavia. The group teleports back to the Turtle Island and heads for The Cove of Ephestos.

Arriving at The Cove of Ephestos, but still unaware of the name of the island itself, the group leaves the Turtle Island and climbs up the long stairs to the top of the cliffs where the Temple of Temenia sits. On the way they meet and talk with Nigia, a priestess. After entering the temple and speaking with Otania, the High Priestess, Nigia accompanies the group down into the Cavern of Klaatu below the temple. They find Ephezius' cup at the bottom of the cavern, and they discover how it was used as part of a ritual to create this temple site. Also found is a series of writings by Klaatu, the Hydromancer, recanting his unwitting assistance in the plans of Ephezius. He believed founding the temples of Octavia would thwart the power of Ephezius, returning balance to the Sea of Madness. However, when Klaatu discovered Ephezius' cup at the base of this site, he realised he had been a pawn all along.

The Cannibals dig upward, trying to reach whatever Ephezius originally contained here. He found a natural site of nature worship and contained the power so that it might be channeled. The subsequent founding of the temple by Klaatu was the final step. The party destroys the wards and bindings and unleashes a dark young of Shub-Niggurath. Afterward, in search of additional strength, Moraine attempts to use the Necronomicon, but instead splits a shade off from herself, which the party then defeated.

Finally bypassing the remaining wards, the party digs upward into the original grotto of pre-Ephesian times. Using the name of power they found on Roke [Taliesin] they return the ancient tree roots from stone back into wood, also turning [unbeknownst to them] the fountain inside the temple above back into a tree. With the death of the Dark Young, however, the site is still unhallowed and inactive. The Cannibals realise they must re-establish a mystical connection, and go to sleep to enter The Dreamlands.

Upon entering the Cavern of Nasht and Kaman-Thah, the Cannibals see that the flame is out. Upon being encouraged to jointly re-light it, the party recognises a similarity between this cavern and the one their bodies are sleeping in, with the flame being roughly analogous to the roots they had just revivified. The priests of the Cavern of Flame tell the group that Jeraco's shadow extinguished the flame and fled downward into the Dreamlands. They begin pursuing him.

After arriving in Ulthar, and again dealing with Hannibal's reaction to a full moon, the group picks up the trail of Jeraco's shadow and pursues it to Dylath-Leen. After arriving in the city, the Cannibals are finally able to confront the shadow and defeat it. The group then returns to Ulthar to do research in the library about Octavia and Artemis. They uncover information about The Unknown God, and journey back to Dylath-Leen in hopes of finding a temple. In Dylath-Leen, an envoy of the temple of Hades finds Hannibal in the group's lodgings, delivering an ultimatum from the high priest. The Cannibals find the Unnamed Temple, and after posing as temple adherents they are attacked by gargoyles in the street. The party raids the Dylath-Leen temple of Hades, killing Baratis the high priest, and putting Hannibal in his place. Only a handful are left alive in the temple, and they swear loyalty to Hannibal.

The party explores the corridors and rooms behind the main hall of the subterranean temple.

I know I should know whats going on. But I don't. I read the timeline and the clues and I am alittle lost. I remember coming into the dream world and I remember chasing after Jerico. I remeber the fight in the temple but that is about it. Was the unknown god, or unknown temple Hades, or am I mixing that up? Did we ever find the temple of Artemis.

No worries at all Smile You think the Unknown god was a rumour you heard in Ulthar, when you were all getting ready to head back out of the dreamlands. You went back to Dylath-Leen in search of a Temple to the Unknown god. You're really not too sure about this part, thinking back. It's almost as if it's been a terribly long time and your memories have faded a bit and become unclear. You've heard of things like that happening in the Dreamlands though.

This bit is a bit clearer. You all split up in an effort to search Dylath-Leen for a temple dedicated to an unknown god. One of you, you don't remember who, found a temple with no name, no writing, no symbols of any kind. People.. well, they may have been people.. were seen coming out of the building wearing plain grey (or maybe black?) robes. The party all gathered there inside the building. There were more robes laying on tables, and you all took a robe and put it on. Then you all went outside into the street. Something at the back of your mind makes you think maybe it was all some plan you all came up with to try to hide your identities, to become unknown and unknowable, to keep someone.. Ephezius? From knowing where you were or what you were up to.

At any rate, when you walked out into the street, you got attacked by a big flock of (of all things) gargoyles. Oddly enough, you know gargoyles to be the invention of Ephezius, long ago in the time of the Morvalian Empire.

After beating the gargoyles, you all returned to the inn you were staying at. It's then that Hannibal was summoned to the Temple of Hades, there in Dylath-Leen.

You haven't found the temple of Artemis itself yet, but the Temple of Temeria on Earthsea, under which you're actually sleeping currently, is apparently a 'version' of it. The Temple of Artemis is apparently supposed to be reached by using something in the smaller island nearby.

(a good bit of this is my way of dealing with the fact that I don't remember much more than you, lol, but I do have my campaign notes, and I remember the stuff that was going on in the background.)
